My Professional Journey
My journey into the world of computer science began in an unexpected setting — a university lab, not as a student of technology, but as a Psychology major.
In need of a job to fund my education, I found myself working in the computer science labs at the university. The role was straightforward, leaving me with ample free time and access to a world of computers. Rather than succumb to the allure of idle pastimes, I chose a different path: to learn to code.
It was during this time that I met a colleague from the HR department, also keen on deciphering the coding puzzle. Together, we embarked on a learning journey, transforming from curious novices to skilled programmers. As I completed my degree in Psychology, programming had already become more than just a hobby; it was a passion that sustained me and my family.
While my academic background in psychology continues to enrich my approach to teammates and colleagues, computer science has become my professional arena. It's a field that constantly evolves, so I have to continuously learn to stay on track.
From a serendipitous start to a purposeful passion, I've coded not just software, but my career.
Work Experience
My journey through the tech landscape has been marked by a variety of challenging and rewarding roles, each contributing uniquely to my expertise and understanding of the industry.
In my early years, I focused on web development, where I developed a strong foundation in programming logic, relational databases, APIs, and HTTP protocol. As I progressed, I took on more complex projects, leading teams in small companies. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also sharpened my abilities in project management and team leadership.
More recently, my role as Senior Backend Engineer at Team International has allowed me to dive deeper into software architecture, focusing on optimizing database systems and enhancing tool efficiency for robust, scalable solutions. Here, I've not only contributed to a major database refactoring initiative and the advancement of internal diagnostic tools but also stayed abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the ever-evolving landscape of software development.

While my academic journey didn't follow traditional pathways in Computer Science, it is a narrative of relentless self-improvement and dedication to mastering my craft.
My educational background in Psychology provided me with a unique perspective on problem-solving and emotional intelligence, enriching my approach to technology and teamwork.
